Biography:

Laura Shin is a journalist covering crypto and blockchain. Shin is best known as one of the first mainstream reporters to cover digital currencies and is a former senior editor for Forbes. She also worked as a reporter for Newsweek, a technical writer for the Wall Street Journal and a producer at The New York Times. Currently, Shin is the producer and host of the podcasts "Unchained" and "Unconfirmed," and is writing a book about cryptocurrencies.

Laura Shin's 2019:

While Shin hosted numerous crypto luminaries on her podcasts throughout 2019, perhaps the biggest milestone was the launch of the Unchained Live conference, bringing deep-dive industry conversations onto the stage.

What Cointelegraph expects for 2020:

We expect Shin will continue mining insight from new and returning podcast guests throughout the year. She is set to be a media partner for the Magical Crypto Conference from May 11 to 12. We also anticipate the second Unchained Live show sometime in the new year. While her book on the history of the crypto space is set to be published by PublicAffairs/Hachette, there has been no set date announced for its release at the time of writing.
