As the official media sponsor, Cointelegraph is excited to announce that the kick-off party to The North American Bitcoin Conference (TNABC) will be held at Chicago’s legendary House of Blues venue on July 18, 2014. The official press release reads:
“The support of major venues such as the House of Blues shines a light on Bitcoin and gives us mainstream exposure.”
The TNABC kick-off event will start with a special screening of The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin, a stunning documentary by Nicholas Mross about the creation and popularization of Bitcoin. “The documentary takes an inside look at the competitive mining market and the various subcultures within the Bitcoin community,” reads the official press release. “In the film … the director examines the social and political impact of an open-source digital currency.”
The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin was an official selection at the Tribeca Film festival. And the screening at the House of Blues will certainly be a special offering to participants as it will be the second ever showing, and the first screening of the final film.
What’s more is that the creator of the film, Nicholas Mross, is also set to be there at the House of Blues for the screening, so don’t miss your chance to meet the movie creators. Additionally, the event will also include a live concert, guest speakers, and many other surprises that shouldn't be missed.
The TNABC will be held in Chicago on July 19-20, 2014 at McCormick Place and will feature a number of speakers, including Roger Ver, Daniel Larimer of Bitshares, and Tony Gallippi of BitPay, just to name a few.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m.with the screening of The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin beginning at 7:30 p.m.
