The digital currency world will betrekking to London this summer for the second CoinSummit of the year and thirdoverall. The previous CoinSummit convention was held in March in San Franciscoand featured a plethora of speeches and panel discussions from leadingcryptocurrency entrepreneurs, VC and angel investors, hedge fund professionals,and bitcoin enthusiasts. The London convention will feature nothing less.

Some notable speakers include new BitcoinFoundation board of director Brock Pierce, angel investor Roger Ver, Silk RoadEquity co-founder Matthew Roszak, and Maidsafe CEO David Irvine. Others includeMegabigpower founder David Carlson, eToro CEO Yoni Assia, Lamassu CEO ZachHarvey, and many others.

Besides the usual speaker / panelline-up that goes hand-in-hand with these types of conferences, a specialplatform is being organized for a few startup companies. According to the site,10 startups will be given the chance to present in front of the entireCoinSummit audience and will be chosen “on the basis of the size andattractiveness of the opportunity they are pursuing, the strength of theirteam, and their traction/metrics/achievements.” Applying for the presentationis free and the deadline to register is June 20.

The summit is organized by PamirGelenbe, serial entrepreneur and partner at Hummingbird Ventures. After thelast summit in March, Gelenbe relayed aconversation he had with technology entrepreneur Wences Casares:

I caught up with Wences today post-conference, and he has a very firmview that Bitcoin is probably going to get to about a million dollars a coinwithin 5 to 10 years. And his view is that it’s going to get about $30,000 bythe end of this year.

Casares is not scheduled to cometo the event this year, although his bold predictions will likely still beringing in everyone’s heads.

CoinSummit London will be held atthe East Wintergarden in London and take place on July 10-11. Entrance to theconference is invite-only. Digital currency enthusiasts who wish to attend theevent can request an invitation on the summit’s official site.
