Brave Browser News

The Brave browser is an open-source pay-to-surf browser based on Chromium, announced by Brendan Eich in 2016. Brendan Eich is a co-founder of the Mozilla project and the creator of JavaScript. The Brave browser claims to have improved online privacy and technology that will block intrusive internet advertisements and website trackers. The Brave browser could become an alternative for the current system of providing free content, which is based on collecting personal information in order to improve targeted ads. Brave has claimed to be twice as fast as Chrome on desktop and eight times faster than Safari on mobile. For compensation of lost revenue for websites, Brave uses Brave Payments. Users can sell an amount of money to the Brave browser in Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum. The Brave browser’s Bitcoin funding is transferred into its native cryptocurrency called Basic Attention Tokens (BAT), which can be distributed to websites visited by the user.
