Blockchain technology and the crypto industry are certainly new and offer several opportunities to everyone regardless of gender, but it is a misconception that the diversity issue exists in this industry as well!
Although Bitcoin (BTC) has been in existence for over 10 years and has been breaking new records, we haven’t witnessed equal percentages yet when it comes to women’s involvement. In comparison with other existing industries, blockchain is no different: The state of diversity and inclusion exists in this space, too. This might lead the industry to have biased and inferior blockchain and crypto products, as rightly pointed out by Susan Joseph, head of nonprofit organization Diversity in Blockchain.
While all of us may have different opinions, let’s find out the industry expert’s view on diversity and inclusion on this Women’s Day 2021.
On March 8, 2021, Bit2Buzz and Coinpedia are hosting an online crypto-blockchain event with prominent personalities of the crypto and blockchain ecosystem as speakers. Even if the event is to be held on Women’s Day, we will be focused on maintaining diversity in opinions, keynotes and panel discussions. Everyone can join the event: It’s free and online. This year, with a twist in different panel discussions, part of our event will be dedicated to celebrating and recognizing women in tech who have excelled in the blockchain and cryptocurrency revolution space and their innovations.
