In response to the wave of event cancellations and shelter in-place orders, the MouseBelt Blockchain Accelerator and its partners are rallying together to provide free and interactive virtual events for the blockchain community.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, May 11 2020MouseBelt, an ecosystem promoting blockchain innovation by supporting hands-on development of the emerging projects and leaders in the industry, today announced their upcoming virtual conference REIMAGINE 2020. The event will feature a 72-hour non-stop livestream of keynotes, panels and debates with one-off workshops and networking events happening simultaneously. The stream starts May 18.

Partners include blockchain industry leaders from the Blockchain Education Alliance: Ripple’s Xpring, Hedera Hashgraph, Stellar, ICON, Ontology, Multi.io, KuCoin, Neo, IoTeX, Matic Network, Quantstamp, Orbs, LTO Network, Emurgo, NEM, and ETC Labs. MouseBelt University partners will also participate in the event including students and professors from UC Davis, University of Chicago, University of Washington, Southern Illinois University, Indiana University, Fordham, Mount St. Mary’s, San Jose State, Portland State, George Mason, University of Miami, King’s College London, Toulouse Business School in Spain, Universidad Católica de Santa Fe in Argentina and KNUST in Ghana. REIMAGINE 2020 is a virtual conference and networking event designed to inspire the blockchain community to create and implement the solutions needed to build a decentralized future. The title refers to the theme of the event: “reimagining” what the rest of this year looks like for the blockchain industry. What hasn’t been working? What’s possible? How do we get there? This unique event focuses on education, practical advice, and real-world use cases. Attendees can watch interviews with top crypto personalities like Roger Ver, Brock Pierce, Paul Brody, Mark Yusko, Alex Tapscott and more. Enterprise executives from Coca-cola, Budweiser, Boeing, Daimler, ING will talk about how they are using blockchain technology to help their companies. Developers can attend workshops happening simultaneously to the livestream and use what they learn to participate in the REIMAGINE 2020 hackathon.

The group has provided funding and educational materials for meetups, workshops, and hackathons via MouseBelt Blockchain Accelerator’s University Program. The University Program, founded in 2018, is a community of 80+ student blockchain organizations worldwide that has grown to include an online educational platform, student pitch competitions, and the UC Blockchain Initiative.
