Press Release

San Francisco, CA — March 1, 2021Jonathan Reichental, an award-winning technologist, professor and best-selling author, is on a mission to make complex technology topics more understandable for everyone. His LinkedIn Learning courses on blockchain, quantum computing, the Fourth Industrial Revolution and more, have already enabled hundreds of thousands of non-technical people to grasp important concepts that they can immediately apply. Reichental now provides the same high-quality experience, but live and in small groups online. His first course, Cryptocurrency Demystified, is a response to the huge demand for more people to appreciate the wonder and value of cryptocurrencies.

Reichental said:

“Suddenly, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are in the mainstream news daily. Everyone is curious: How do they work? How can I use them? People have been begging me to provide easy lessons in plain-English. That’s why I’m experimenting with this new format.”

His new course, Cryptocurrency Demystified, is being delivered as two, one-hour seminars on March 24 and 31. The total cost is $25 and 100% virtual. Reichental is working with the education startup Speakeasy, a platform for live, online talks and workshops.

“I chose cryptocurrency as the topic of my first Speakeasy seminar because it is such a hot topic right now. I meet so many people who are frustrated that they cannot understand how Bitcoin and blockchain technology works. My passion as an educator is to help fix that.”

Online learning was already growing rapidly prior to the arrival of COVID-19, but now it has exploded. Reichental has seen demand for his online courses grow significantly over the past 12 months. He said:

“COVID-19 has been a tragedy of epic proportions. Its consequences will be felt for a long time to come, and the way we work and learn will forever be impacted. Online learning, for example, is here to stay in a really big way.”

Reichental can be reached on Twitter and on LinkedIn. His website also includes a lot of popular content on technology and business: www.reichental.com.
