Press Release

November 24, Singapore — BlockShow — the flagship event for the blockchain industry, which this month will return to Singapore for the second time — has announced that it is now the world’s first blockchain conference selling tickets via ethereum-based smart contracts. This breakthrough, decentralized approach is possible thanks to a partnership with Trustee, the secure and easy-to-use blockchain service providing the interface.

The Ethereum-based smart contract DApp enables users to book tickets to BlockShow Asia 2018 — which will take place as part of Asia Blockchain Week from Nov. 27 to Dec. 1 — directly, without any intermediaries or centralized services. Tickets are digitized, enabling decentralized sales and operations. Ticket ownership is granted once the transaction is confirmed in the blockchain, while attendees can also gift tickets to other people after purchasing.

The account that bought the ticket is able to transfer it to any other account without any limits or intermediaries, in the same way as any other cryptocurrency. And because this is a decentralized solution, there are no limits to usage of any other wallets and interfaces as well.

“BlockShow has already established itself as the most ambitious and forward-looking event in the blockchain industry. Becoming the first blockchain conference to actually sell tickets with smart contracts further proves how committed we are to unlocking blockchain’s full potential — for our own use and far beyond,” Addy Creaze of BlockShow said. “This exciting partnership with Trustee is a big step, but also just a small preview of all Blockchain Asia 2018 has to offer.”

Attendee tickets cost 1.5 ETH, while investors tickets are twice that price.

About BlockShow

BlockShow Asia 2018 comes on the heels of successful events in Berlin and Las Vegas, and will be attended by more than 3,000 blockchain influencers and enthusiasts from over 50 countries. In addition to BlockShow’s usual exclusive networking opportunities, the conference will feature important speakers like Bobby Lee, Vincent Zhou, Stanley Yong, and Jason Hsu. You can find the full list here. On top of that, side events during Asia Blockchain Week will include an open day for accelerators and hubs, an influencers event, a pre-party, an after-party, and more.

About Trustee

Trustee is providing the interface for the tickets’ smart contracts. The main goal of Trustee is to provide a convenient instrument that lets organizations create and communicate with ethereum-based smart contracts for any business purpose. Trustee organizes access and secure management of pool, token, swap, and airdrop contracts. It provides a user-friendly interface and doesn't collect any private keys. Tickets to BlockShow Asia 2018 are available now. Trustee is a product of BlockSoftLab — a research and development company with a strong reputation that provides various secure blockchain services for fintech and crypto startups.
