The seemingly unstoppable Slush technology 2 days conference starts today in Helsinki, Finland.

The event, which links startups and technology talent with investors and the media, will feature speeches from a host of international executives and is expected to draw over 15,000 attendees. Cointelegraph is also delighted to announce its official sponsorship of Slush.

“We are excited to have Cointelegraph at Slush because of the understanding they have about financial technology and cryptocurrencies,” Teemu Laurikainen, head of ticket sales for Slush, commented.

“We here at Slush believe that the blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies have potential to disrupt the financial world in the upcoming years. It is truly fascinating to see the growing public interest in this sector and we are glad to be part of it.”

Having started out as a local operation with some 300 participants, Slush now has backing from MySQL, Rovio, Supercell and Skype among others. Speakers include Caterina Fake, Founder of Flickr, Niklas Östberg, CEO and Co-founder of Berlin-based food delivery superpower Delivery Hero, and Bruce Upbin, Managing Editor at Forbes.

In addition to networking and speeches, participants come to Slush for its startup demos, while startups themselves can join the running to win the Slush 100 pitching competition, the previous winner of which, Enbrite.ly, received an investment of US$500k.

The founder of Cointelegraph is taking part in the conference.

See you there today!
