As part of Cointelegraph’s partnership with Coin ATM Radar and its extensive coverage of the world’s network of Bitcoin ATMs, we’re taking a look again this week at some BTMs that went live recently.
According to Coin ATM Radar’s data as of December 15, 2014, there are 326 live BTMs around the globe. You can find the machines closest to you by using the site’s Bitcoin ATM map.
Poland
The Bobby Burger at Emilii Plater in Warsaw is the fourth Bitcoin ATM in Poland and the third in the country’s capital. This new installation is a one-way Lamassu that accepts Polish zloty, up to 1000 PLN (about 240 EUR) per transactions. The fee is 5%.
Operators Bitcoinomat report that the BTM is trilingual (Polish, German and English) and that the host burger chain plans to integrate bitcoin payments throughout its entire business soon.
United States
In the last week, four new BTMs from various manufacturers have gone live across the United States.
The first was in suburban Chicago, a two-way BitAccess kiosk at Xclusiv! Electronics & Computers in Maywood, Illinois. Users have daily transaction limits of US$3,000 without ID, or US$10,000 with ID. The machine charges a 5% fee.
In Houston, the daily newspaper picked up this story last week that operators CoinVault ATM had installed a two-way Robocoin machine next to the Starbucks on the second floor of the George R. Brown Convention Center. Daily transactions are capped at US$9,000, and fees are 5%, in addition to the buy/sell spread that Coin ATM Radar publishes in real time here.
In the Bay Area, Coinucopia has installed a one-way Lamassu BTM at the Westfield Valley Fair mall in Santa Clara. This is Coinucopia’s second machine, which limits transactions to US$1,000 and charges a variable fee of 2% on top of Bitstamp’s charges.
In Indianapolis, a local vape shop, World of Vapor, has installed a one-way Skyhook BTM at its store on East Washington St. No fee information or transaction limits are known yet for what appears to be the first Bitcoin ATM in Indianapolis.
