Mobile software provider Acromobile partners up with digital commerce platform provider Bitnet, to offer merchants the ability to be paid in bitcoins.

Acromobile Payments announced on October 7, it has integrated Bitnet's commerce platform into its SaaS (software as a service) mobile commerce solution, to enable merchants to accept Bitcoin payments.

The BTC payment option is available to any merchant as a fully integrated Order-to-Bitcoin-to-Cash solution with easy integration to CRM and ERP systems, reads the announcement. Along with credit and debit cards, Acromobile's payment portal now fully supports Bitcoin payments.

Acromobile and Bitnet hope this partnership would enable businesses to attract more customers, as well as help them with their daily operations by enabling a much faster and cheaper payment method, and according to the release, merchants won't be exposed to Bitcoin's price fluctuations. Jason Masciarelli, Founder at Acromobile stated:

"With Bitnet we are able to deliver an integrated CRM and commerce platform to unlock the Bitcoin opportunity for merchants with no risk and have them get paid in their local currency."

The two companies firmly believe Bitcoin holds key benefits, which merchants should take profit from; and notably, its growing popularity. On Black Friday in 2013, the total of Bitcoin transactions was valued to more than US$487 million, placing Bitcoin as the fifth largest payment network, ahead of Discover and PayPal.

Through this partnership, merchants using Acromobile's mobile commerce solution can now benefit from Bitcoin payment processing's low transaction fees, as well as its instant global reach, its absence of risks of fraud and chargebacks, and its extended client base of digital currency enthusiasts.

Along with Bitnet's Bitcoin payment solution, several tools have been integrated in order to help merchants manage their businesses. These tools are now coupled with Acromobile Payments's CRM features for management of customer profiles, orders, invoices, and transactions to monitor payment status and history.

According to Alain Gendre, VP of Alliances at Bitnet:

"Bitcoin is tailor-made for the Internet. No fraud, no risk, no borders, and lower fees than the most common current payment methods."

The executive firmly believes Bitcoin acceptance is only going to grow:

"We’re seeing merchants who are early adopters of Bitcoin reporting that they’ve increased sales and added a new base of customers. We’re excited to partner with Acromobile in providing merchants with the ability to accept Bitcoin payments."

Acromobile Payments' Bitcoin payment option is currently available to merchants by invitation; which can be requested here. The general release is scheduled for December 2014.
