Jose Rodriguez

Jose Antonio Rodriguez Reyes, born 1983, currently living in Mexico City.

Banking and financial markets, plus a year of applied mathematics and computing. 

Jose has more than 10 years’ experience working in Mexican and US brokers. This includes control of cash and securities settlements, international management (securities arbitrage, treasury, forex trading, mutual funds, assets and cash flow managements), fraud investigation, maintaining relationships with institutional customers, and developing software systems for management and banking control.

In 2012, Jose first learned of Bitcoins through the news and a friend who showed him the deep web. In mid-2013, he read more about Bitcoin and began buying as a speculative investment. 

Jose has spoken at meetups and conferences in Mexico, arranged a meeting with the Mexican central bank’s director of payment systems, spoken at CONDUSEF (a commission for the protection and defense of users of financial services in Mexico) about Bitcoin, helped launch an exchange in Mexico, and partnered with an Argentine exchange and payment system. 

He has investments in Bitcoin-related business and securities, Bitcoin marketmaking, altcoin mining and P2P lending.
