How did you discover the world of cryptocurrencies?
In January of 2013, a friend of mine opened my eyes to Bitcoin. At first glance, Bitcoin seemed to be a currency/project for software developers. With just a closer glance I realized that Bitcoin is a movement towards social, political and economic freedom! I chose to leave my job on Capitol Hill and get involved full time with Bitcoin and took on the role of Manager of Communications of Bitcoin Magazine. My transition from Capitol Hill to the Bitcoin space was the best decision I have made.
What is your role in the Bitcoin community?
I currently serve as the Manager of Communications for Bitcoin Magazine and in September of this year was elected to serve on the Bitcoin Foundation Board of Directors. I also serve as Secretary of the Board and have the privilege of traveling to meet with various members of the Bitcoin community.
