If you have been Bitcoin for more than a minute, you have heard of Andreas Antonopoulos. His primary job is one of a Bitcoin wise man, traveling the world and espousing the gospel about decentralized digital currencies like Bitcoin to all of  those who are interested in such things, while getting paid in Bitcoin to do it. Governments have brought him in to advise their staff on how to regulate Bitcoin, going forward.

He has also written a book called “Mastering Bitcoin”, primarily targeted at the Bitcoin developer community. Today, on the latest edition of The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast, Antonopoulos released the news on his latest Bitcoin venture, his second book on understanding Bitcoin, and it is called “The Internet of Money”.

The title is rather poignant, and pointed

Besides being a very concise way to describe Bitcoin, the term “The Internet of Money” and its coinage has been a hot topic of discussion over the last year or so. Andreas maintains that the phrase has been used by him for over three years, and there are examples of other entities using it before then, going back as far as 2010.

Meanwhile, Uphold CEO Anthony Watson claimed that he coined the phrase for his previous company, BitReserve. He mentioned trademarking the term and legally sanctioning the term’s use by Andreas, or anyone else. It would appear Watson backed down, after the community backlash, and given the fact that Andreas is titling his book with the term.

The new eBook was quietly added to Amazon on Monday, and is currently on Andreas’ official website, linking to the Amazon sales page. The book is a written compilation of his talks given around the the world, giving people fairly new to Bitcoin a written manuscript that can be easily digested on a mobile device or Kindle. His many YouTube videos educating people on various Bitcoin subjects are also available, providing quite a resource of knowledge, and the foundation for this new release.

The initial book reviews include respected Bitcoin community members like Marc Andreessen and Michael Casey, co-author of “The Age of Cryptocurrency”.

Balaji Srinivasan, CEO of 21.co, says:

"With Mastering Bitcoin, Andreas Antonopoulos wrote one of the best technical books on digital currency. With “The Internet of Money”, he's matched that feat by compiling his talks into one of the best books on Bitcoin for a broad audience. Highly recommended!”

This is Andreas’ fourth appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience. Here are links to his previous appearances, dating back to January of 2014.
