Bitcoin SV (BSV) is a crypto asset that hard forked from Bitcoin Cash (BCH) in 2018 amid disagreements within the BCH community. Bitcoin SV has also been referred to as Bitcoin Satoshi’s Vision. BSV positions itself as an asset aimed at what some believe to be the original goals Bitcoin’s (BTC) pseudonymous creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, had in mind for Bitcoin. Nakamoto has not come forward with any form of known communication since around 2011. BSV takes the approach of using larger blocks than BTC, although to a more significant extent than BCH. Compared to BSV, Bitcoin uses much smaller blocks. BSV’s price has remained much lower than BTC’s price, despite both assets holding a 21,000,000 maximum coin supply.
