Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is an asset that hard forked from the main Bitcoin (BTC) blockchain in 2017 after disputes among the community regarding technical aspects around Bitcoin’s makeup. BCH touts a larger block size limit, resulting in increased transaction speeds at lower costs compared to BTC, although the BTC camp has its arguments against BCH’s makeup. The price of Bitcoin Cash has historically traded much lower on average than the price of Bitcoin. Bitcoin Cash’s value as an asset lies in its technical differences compared to Bitcoin, with BCH proponents seeing it as more functional than Bitcoin as a transactional asset.
